Description: This presentation will provide a brief overview on work place fire safety and prevention for compliance with the 2018 International Fire Code. We will also discuss various fire protection systems, such as how they work, and the importance of proper maintenance.

About Our Speaker: Dawn has 11+ years experience in the fire service. Her first 5 years on the department was as a firefighter, the last 6+ years has been in her current position as Deputy Fire Marshal. As a Deputy Fire Marshal, her duties range from public education, building plan review, fire investigation, and code enforcement. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from NDSU, as well as numerous certifications from the International Code Council and the International Association of Arson Investigators. Her passion is helping to protect all aspects of our community from various hazards and to help mitigate those hazards when they do occur.
