Description: This session will focus on the emerging risks and potential liabilities associated with the advent of autonomous vehicles. We will also review the exposures and appropriate controls to consider when evaluating the benefits of autonomous vehicles, EV's and Driver Monitoring Systems.
This event has been approved as a Continuing Education (CE) credit by the Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety and the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and provided by OECS.
About Our Speakers:
Mike Scarski - Mike is currently employed with Cincinnati Insurance Company as a Loss Control Field Director, providing services to insureds throughout ND and Northwestern MN. Current responsibilities include conducting risk evaluation assessments for a variety of industries, consulting with insurance agencies regarding commercial risk management systems and assisting insureds with identifying exposures and implementing appropriate controls. Mike has been in his current position since October 2018. Prior to coming on with Cincinnati he was employed with Border States Electric as a Corporate Safety Specialist for 8 years. During Mike’s time with Border States he was involved with the development and implementation of safety programs and procedures across the organization.
Mike graduated from North Dakota State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He currently holds the Certified Safety Professional, CSP, designation. He has experience as an Authorized OSHA Outreach trainer for General Industry and as an NSC Defensive Driver instructor. He is also a past board member of the ASSP Northern Plains Section and the Northern Region Association of Safety Professionals (NRASP).
Neal Holladay: Neal is currently employed with Cincinnati Insurance Company as a Senior Technical Specialist – Transportation. He works with key accounts and complex transportation related accounts. Neal also provides technical guidance and consultations to Loss Control Field Representatives . He has over 25 years experience in Risk Management in transportation/logistics and manufacturing with extensive experience in loss prevention, SIR claims handling, and regulatory compliance. Neal also has experience as a participant in Global Insurance Programs as well as expertise in the development and purchase of domestic broker and insurance carrier services with RFPs/RFQs.
