Description: The Red River Basin of eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota is the epicenter for extreme cold, raging blizzards, persistent snow and ice cover, and a generally robust and protracted winter regime. The speaker will discuss typical winter period averages and extremes, illustrated with recent examples. In addition the speaker will discuss new messaging strategies and ways for you to access the latest information to help you make your wintertime operational decisions.

About Our Speaker: Greg is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist, serving the Red River Basin of eastern ND and northwest MN since 1998. He’s worked in extreme blizzard, flood, tornado, wind, hail, heat and cold environments across the Northern Plains and around the world throughout his military and civilian career.
