Description: The case for Zer0. In recent years there has been an increasing trend for safety professionals and consultants to call out zero as a kind of bad thing. This talk of zero injuries as almost a bad word needs to stop. Paul will make the case for Zer0 by discussing the liberties taken when calling out Zer0 injuries. Paul will discuss safety cultures and reference some successful companies. He will pose questions like are “statistics still needed”. He will also discuss goal versus expectation and the benefits to having them. Lastly, Paul will appeal to the humanistic side of Zer0 injuries.
