Description: In this session, Donny will cover the importance of conducting job site safety audits and how all contractors on a job site play an integral role of ensuring all workers go home to their families. He will also discuss the platform (I auditor) that he currently uses for site audits and a paper copy option. Attendees should have a piece of paper numbered 1-20 to test their observation skills.  Near misses, good catches and behavior- based observations will also be part of the discussion.

Donny Hines is currently the safety specialist for MN/ND Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and has held this position since May, 2011. He is an authorized outreach OSHA construction trainer and a certified NCCER instructor. Prior to ABC, he was the safety director for a large construction company in central Minnesota for ten years. Donny has served on the National ABC Safety Committee and currently oversees the MN/ND ABC Safety Committee. Most of his time is spend conducting safety training and jobsite safety audits to assist companies in creating the very best safety culture. Donny has over 30 years of safety experience and continues working with contractors to enhance their safety programs along with ABC’s STEP program and a partnership program with MNOSHA.
