Description: The presentation will give a short overview of the hazardous waste regulations. It will also go over some new regulations and proposed regulations to the North Dakota Hazardous Waste Rules.

About Our Speaker: Christine Roob is an Environmental Scientist III with the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Waste Management, Hazardous Waste Program. Chris has a BS Degree in Earth Sciences from North Dakota State University, and a MS Degree in Geology from the University of North Dakota.

She has been with the state since June 1988 focusing on hazardous waste regulatory issues. She has conducted numerous compliance inspections, issued hazardous waste operating and post-closure permits as well as provided oversight for corrective action site inspections and characterization, remediation, and post-closure care projects. Chris is the contact for regulated infectious waste, hazardous and solid waste financial assurance and household hazardous waste. In addition, she has performed solid waste, underground storage tank, air quality, water quality, emergency response cleanup and other duties as assigned.
