October - Member Luncheon With The Fargo and Moorhead Fire Marshals

A presentation of the process of adopting the 2015 codes in City of Fargo and any significant changes. A discussion of common violations and the value of having built in fire protection. A question and answer session will follow

About Our Speakers: 

Chad Stangeland has been with the City since 1995. He is an Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal/Emergency Manager since 2012. He has held the rank of Captain, Lieutenant, and Firefighter for Moorhead. Chief Stangeland received his Associate of Arts at Moorhead State University, Associate of Applied Science in Fire Technology & Administration from Lake Superior College, Bachelor of Science in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati, and is an Executive Fire Officer from the National Fire Academy. He is currently working towards his Master of Art Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California. Chief Stangeland works with the community to help ensure minimum fire and life-safety code compliance and they have emergency plans in place.

Ryan Erickson, Fire Marshal for the City of Fargo since 2014 and worked for the fire department since 2002.
